Two such promises we can cling to and put our trust in are found in Luke 21:36 and Revelation 3:10... Luke had just been writing to his Gentile counterparts in Jerusalem and throughout Israel about things we've talked about this week in our Rapture study...signs in the sun, moon and stars and on the earth distress throughout the nations of the world!
He wrote about those events that would transpire on the earth before Christ returns...things that would cause even some hearts to fail because of the things they will see coming upon the earth...He said even the powers of the heavens would be shaken! But he also made the comforting statement here to take hold of before we see Jesus returning in the clouds of heaven...
Luke 21:36 says..."Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted WORTHY to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to STAND before the Son of man." Unceasing prayers to be found WORTHY will be necessary to escape the Day of the Lord's Wrath! And we see this same group of RAPTURED Saints in Revelation 7:9-10 STANDING "before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, 'Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb'!
In Revelation 3 we read John's letter to the 'obedient' church members of the last days who had not denied their faith in Christ during Antichrist's persecution, but had patiently awaited His return. He wrote in verse 10... "Because thou hast KEPT the word of my patience, I also will KEEP THEE from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." These are the faithful ones who will be KEPT from the Day of the Lord's Wrath! Each of the passages above are DIVINE promises friends and God NEVER renigs on His promises!
The ball is in your court and in my court to determine where we'll be when God's wrath is poured out with a vengeance upon a Christ rejecting world! Will we be STANDING with the raptured Saints of God before His throne...KEPT from the Day of the Lord's Wrath, or will we be a participant in the rebellion against the Lord of all creation and suffer the most horrific judgements the world has ever seen???
The choice is up to us...God has provided a means of escape and it's in the person of His Son Jesus Christ! I love you all and so does our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
